"Boombot" Game I Played

I am writing my game for people who are between 10 and 20 years old. The person who plays my game must be able to make the Boombot go through the portal . Since my topic is about trajectory the player must already know about how to aim. My players will learn about the details of my topic, such as how to aim or trajectory. The environment for my game will look like a maze but it would also look as if it were easy. This setting will add to the learning of my game by demonstrating what bombs can do or cause. The environment of my game will help the player learn by using the stuff that they are given to help them. The player will need to use their knowledge of  trajectory in order to get the Boombot through the portal. A game is a better way of understanding my topic than a quiz because the player can only click on the multiple and learn nothing in a quiz.

Darfur is Dying

When I played the game "Darfur Is Dying" I learned that victims had to go outside of their community to go look for water. In the characters of Darfur, there are differences between them. Some of them are more slower but most of them are fast. The mother is slower because she carries so much more water than the other children. The children run fast but when they start carrying water they start to get slower. I think the designers made it like this to show that women and children have difficulties to get water for their village. It also to show the differences between women and children in Darfur. I think that they put the a part where the characters have to maintain  the village because in Darfur there are people who have are sent get water so they can survive and stay strong to defeat the Janjaweed. The game includes to write a letter to the president and share the game on Facebook to share the case of how Darfur is in need of help and show how you can help them. Playing the game did make me learn something about Darfur because it thought that how small you start  it can always get bigger if you try harder.

Steve Jobs

Today at this day we remember Steve Jobs as the guy who made the mouse, apple computer, I-pad, I-pad 2, I-phone, I-phone 4, I-pods.  Steve Jobs made his first invention in his garage. He was big part of technology. He founded Pixar and if he hadn't found it we would not have the movies, Nemo, Cars, Monsters Ink, Up, A bug life, and Toy Story. He was a genius.

Playing to Learn

I played a lot of games on playing to learn but I think the most effective learning game for me is called "Brainpop game up."  This game genre is action. This game is about killing bacteria. There are many cells that try to kill the bacteria  but the bacteria spreads a little more. Each cell has a different job of how to kill bacteria. The bacteria was caused by a splinter that was stuck into the thumb. It spreads all around the thumb if not killed. I would like to make a game like that because it is really cool. In my game I would like to put action on it. My questions are, how do they make that game? How did they make the bacteria duplicate?

Be the change

On saturday we went to a park called Peace park. In the park I put mulch around the trees and carried the mulch around onto other trees.Other people watered trees, cut all the weeds, and put the mulch on the wheelbarrow. I liked going to the service learning project because it was fun and we had friends and teachers who helped us. It was a happy expirience because we all learned something from it like, it was the first park built in Austin.  Another service learning project that I would be interested on is on building things or making food for people who are old.

Mini Game

I made a mini game where the bunny tries to get the carrot without bumping with the wolf, brocoli, or icecream. It was some hard but I remembered  most of the steps we did last year. The hardest step was step six. Step six was the score for when the bunny had to bump into the carrot. The best part of this topic is when I made the objects move with the arrow keys. The worst part was when we had to make other extra characters move. I did not know what to do with the characters so I just made them enamies.
