My teams topic is to protect wolfs from becoming extinct. It is also to teach the importance of each animal in our ecosystems. The most important concept I want the players to learn is to protect our wolfs and any other animals that are becoming extinct.
My partner and I did have the same topic but we had kind of a similar idea. So we combined both of our ideas and created one idea. I had an extra enemy so we put my extra enemy in second level to be more complicated.
My team decide to split the work in half. Meaning that my partner would do half of the drawings and I would do half of the other drawings. We would also split the programming in half but if one of us is in trouble the other person would help.
We researched websites where they have recorded wolf behavior. I have learned many things researching this websites. For example I learned that a wolf pack would have about 5-7 members. So we might use that to put how many lives the wolf has.
Our game hero is the wolf, the hunter is the enemy, the bear and traps are obstacles. The wolf has to catch food and bring it back to the cave for its pups. The player is going to be the wolf. The wolf has to hide from the hunter and bear and also has to jump over the traps. Some things changed but not all things changed because we didn't want to have a lot of characters.
The most helpful resources were when we had to research a topic. The wiki already had some websites about our topic so that was really helpful to me.
One of my difficulties were making a game idea. I had to come up with a game.
